Hipcooks San Fransisco. We really missed our Hipcooks LA teacher Kevin when he relocated to the Bay Area. Turns out, he really missed us, too! So we got to thinking.....why not bring Hipcooks to him? We're testing the waters in Hipcooks San Fransisco by offering 2 classes this December with Kevin in the Dacor Kitchens. $30 Hipcooks classes, it's true! Please send the SF class schedule link to anyone you know needing some Hipcooking in SF - we'd love to build a wonderful community of students. Email me back should you or anyone you know wish to join the SF email list.

Little Gift 1: Hipcooks Gift Certificates - November Special
Isn't it too early to be thinking about Holiday gifts? No - check 'em all off the list!  In Nov only -  Buy 4 Hipcooks GCs and we'll send YOU a Hipcooks GC as a Thank You! (4 spots, any combination you like - 4 separate GCs, 2 GCs for 2 classes each, 1 GC for 4 classes - you get the idea.)

Hipcooks Gift Certificates make lovely (and cute!) holiday gifts. Think of it as the gift that keeps on giving: your lovely friend will of course need to practice all the tasty things from the Hipcooks class, and who a better person to practice upon than YOU? Win -win!

Give a man a fish, and he'll eat for a day. Teach him to fish and he'll eat forever!

Little Gift 2. Hipcooks LA only!  Sign up for any class in West LA in November, and receive a Knife Skills Class (Sched on Dec 5th, 6:30pm, WestLA) on us. Yep - nada, zip zero will be your cost for this fab class.  Rules: you must email the studio after signing up to request your spot in the class, and while supplies last!

Recipe of the month

Cranberry sauce with fresh ginger and orange
3/4 lb fresh cranberries
1 cup orange juice
3/4 cup  brown sugar
2 teaspoons (about 1 inch) grated fresh ginger - use your microplane!
2 teaspoons orange zest

In a saucepan, combine all ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer gently for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cranberries will make a delightful popping sound as they open up and mixture will thicken.

And you crafty Hipcooks are already thinking of ways to Holidaze other Hip dishes right?  How about adding a little pumpkin puree to your flan from Una Noche en Espana - A Tapas Class, or fall spices like nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger and allspice to the walnut cake from Healthy, Fresh & Zingy 2?  Oh so tasty and as lovely as you!  Cheers!
